It’s one thing to own a bike, but another to enjoy riding it and be safe. Not everyone learnt to ride as a kid. And the streets are busier than they were when we were little, and this means many of us need to up our bike skills.
Abley is helping us provide free learn to ride courses for adults. These are a great first step to getting back on your bike or building confidence before getting on the road.
Often after one course, trainees are ready to move on to an on-road course or practise on their own. But we make sure they are so fun and relaxed, that we also get lots of repeat visitors!
Motuhenga, USO Bike Ride are running learn to ride courses in Eastern Porirua.
The sessions are aimed at adults with no or little riding experience. They are free and we can provide a bike and helmet on request – please register via link below if you need a bike.
Dates: Saturdays, 12, 19 and 26 March, from 1-3pm. Further dates to be advised. Sessions will be cancelled if wet. Follow Motuhenga and EkeRua ReBicycle on facebook for updates.
Location: Waitangirua Mall courts, Porirua.
Register via the Pedal Ready website or just turn up on the day. Vaccine passes required.
