Currently the Bike Library is available to approved community groups/organisations only. Please contact us if you would like to know more.

For all others, visit Mechanical Tempest or NZ Green Bike Trust to borrow a bike.

2016-08-23 15.49.51 We have a small stable of bikes of various shapes and sizes to lend to people in the community for a small koha (donation). This is ideal for families who can’t afford to keep buying new bikes for growing kids, or adults who aren’t ready or able to commit to buying a bike until they’ve tried it out first.

The kids bikes are primarily used to support Pedal Ready cycle skills training in schools or as part of the Bike KREW rodeo (see events listings).

Current stable:

    • 4x 12″ runner or balance bikes
    • 2x 12″ kids pedal bikes
    • 4x 16″ kids bikes
    • 2x 18″ kids bike
    • 4x 20″ kids bikes (some with gears)
    • 4x 24″ kids bikes
    • 4x  adult bikes (2 small step thru, 2 medium step thru) – these are a neutral grey and ideal for adults learning to ride.
